EVENT GALLERY | SUPPER WITH VIPP

With Vipp Chief Designer Morten Bo Jensen as Special Guest, Cult launches Vipp in Australia with a series of intimate events to unveil the new Vipp Concept Space in Cult Showrooms in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. Here, we share images of our two special Supper With Vipp events in Melbourne and Sydney.

Supper With Vipp - Sydney

Set within the enveloping Vipp Concept Space at Cult Sydney, we hosted an intimate Supper With Vipp in partnership with Jack New of Scandinese eatery Edition Roasters. Dinner was served at a long table for 20, surrounded by Arne Jacobsen’s Series 7 chairs in white to compliment the minimal Danish setting. Being the middle of Australian Spring, it was perfect timing for a Danish Midsommar affair. The table was set with ceramics and glassware from Vipp including the Vipp Milk Jug and Coffee Cup which double as vases, along with soft white and grey linen tablecloths and napkins from InBed. Jardine Hansen of Jardine Botanic created wild floral arrangements with Australian native flowers inspired by Danish Midsommar, including wild plum cuttings, dogwood, smoke bush, mock orange, peonies and seed grass. Mud Australia kindly loaned creamy-toned porcelain vaseware hand made in Sydney, and Sullivan&Strumpf contributed with a series of vibrant artworks by leading Australian artists including Greg Hodge, Karen Black and Matthew Allen. Guests enjoyed a three-course menu by Jack New inspired by cosy Danish dinner parties, and matching wines selected by 10 William sommelier, Matt Young.

Supper With Vipp - Melbourne

In Melbourne, we hosted a private Supper With Vipp at Shannon Bennet’s new seafood eatery Iki-Jime. Set within a moody dark space, complete with gauzy black curtains, taupe banquettes and zinc detailing, the table for 20 was set with a casual mix of iconic Danish chairs by Hans Wegner and Arne Jacobsen, Vipp ceramics with elegant spring-time florals and hand-drawn menus with sketches of the iconic Vipp Shelter. Guests enjoyed a delicious sustainable seafood menu with plenty of local produce including Yarra Valley cherries, watleseed, paperbark, lemon myrtle and saltbush.
