FRITZ HANSEN DINNER AT THE DROGA APARTMENT

To launch the Objects Collection from Fritz Hansen and welcome Jaime Hayon on his first visit to Sydeny, Cult and Fritz Hansen hosted an intimate dinner at the Droga Apartment.

To launch the new Fritz Hansen 'Objects' collection in Sydney, we hosted an intimate dinner with design legend Jaime Hayon. Set within an architecturally striking building with curved walls and unique angles, the entire apartment was styled with Fritz Hansen furniture, including the new 'Objects'.

Dinner was served at a long table for 20, surrounded by Hayon's Sammen Chairs for Fritz Hansen in pastel yellow, blush and navy tones and set with Jaime's brass pieces in the 'Objects' range including the Ikebana Vase, Tealight and Candlestick #1 and #2. Being the middle of Australian Winter, it was perfect timing for a candelit dinner - creating a Danish sense of ‘hygge’. Grandiflora created beautiful Japanese Ikebana floral arrangements with Australian native flowers, including Kangaroo Paws, Eucalyptus, Purple Pepper Corns and Flowering Gums. Mud Australia kindly lent us creamy-toned porcelain tableware hand made in Sydney, and Dinosaur Designs also contributed with flatware serving pieces.

In honour of Jaime's Spanish heritage, we enlisted the talented team from Tapavino to create a delicious menu that celebrated the flavours of Australia and Spain, like macadamia, ajo blanco, sherry, spanner crab and wild berries. In all, the perfect setting to showcase Jaime's work with Fritz Hansen.
