NAU LAUNCHES AT ICFF WITH A BANG

Cult's new brand NAU made its world debut at the International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) in New York this week, showcasing what contemporary Australian design can offer. With NAU, we consolidate our existing capsule collection with Adam Goodrum and introduce many new designs by a collective of Australia's most spirited designers including Adam Cornish, Jack Flanagan and Gavin Harris.

Presented within an artfully constructed stand designed by leading Australian design firm, Design Office, the new NAU brand and 2017 collection was received with great response at ICFF 2017. Both the stand and collection take inspiration from the Australian landscape and palette, including imagery from Brooke Holm. Briefed to present the new NAU brand and designs in a confident, cohesive and impactful way, Design Office developed a fresh and directional concept for the stand at ICFF, with an immersive and confident palette, a series of spatial settings with considered apertures, conceptual plays on framing and volume, and an innovative use of materials.

The 2017 NAU collection is reductive in form, honest in materiality and timeless in style, and includes designs suitable for residential and commercial spaces, from elegant lounge furniture to modular shelving with endless possibility. The NAU collection is presented in a curated selection of Kvadrat and Maharam upholsteries, ranging from textured wool blends from Kvadrat to leathers from Maharam. With a colour palette that is both fresh and directional, yet reassuringly classic and rich, Kvadrat Maharam upholstery provides endless opportunities to invigorate the NAU designs – giving each piece a unique character and sense of quality and style.
