Earlier this month, our west coast partner designFARM hosted 'HOME GROWN DESIGN' - an exhibition of new Australian design and panel discussion featuring award-winning Australian designers and producers of two of Australia’s most exciting furniture brands - NAU and TAIT.
The HOME GROWN DESIGN event included an exhibition of new Australian design from both NAU and TAIT, and a panel discussion featuring award-winning NAU designers Adam Goodrum and Adam Cornish, with Richard Munao (CULT) and Gordon Tait (TAIT), led by AUTHENTIC DESIGN ALLIANCE director Anne-Maree Sargeant
Set within the beautiful designFARM showroom, the event doubled as an opportunity to introduce our new Australian design brand NAU to the Perth design community. Available exclusively from designFARM on the west coast, the NAU collection was presented in curated lounge, dining and office settings to showcase the breadth of the collection, from the versatile Strand chair by Adam Cornish, to the commercial Bower collection by Adam Goodrum and minimal Kubrick stool from Jack Flanagan.
The panel discussion element unpacked insights into how NAU and TAIT are leading the way in furniture design, both locally and in the global marketplace, and valuing commitment and collaboration between designers and brands first. Highlights include Melbourne-based Adam Cornish unravelling the development of the design process that lead to his STRAND chair for NAU, and Cult / NAU founder Richard Munao revealing how he came to launch Australia’s newest design brand.
