Fabrizio Galli & Anna Perico
Fabrizio Galli & Anna Perico graduated in architecture in Florence in 1983, and Magis was one of the first clients in their professional design adventure. Their first product for Magis appeared in 1994: “Tavolino”, a versatile kitchen table in extruded aluminum and wood, followed by “Cappuccino”, which is now back in production. Galli & Perico have worked with a number of international clients, including Swatch, Motorola, Benetton, Domustech Olivetti, Gewiss, Moleskine, to name but a few, and have enjoyed long-term professional collaborations, such as those with Emilio Ambasz and Alessandro Guerriero. A number of their projects have received Design Awards: Mobile phone for Swatch – NTZIAN 1993; Pager for Motorola/Benetton – SMAU 1995; Cappuccino for Magis – Promosedia 1995; Giro d’Italia Trophy for Gazzetta dello Sport 1999 (the trophy has become an iconic symbol of the Giro d’Italia); Road Lighting System for Gewiss – SMAU 2001; Home Automation System for Domustech Olivetti – SMAU 2001 and Intel 2001. Currently, Anna is enjoying painting and producing high-quality olive oil on their farm in Tuscany, while Fabrizio travels back and forth to Asia, designing and teaching design. He was a full-time Lecturer at Hongik University in Seoul from 2003 to 2008, and is currently Senior Lecturer at ADM – the school of Art, Design and Media – Nanyang Technological University in Singapore.
