IDEA AWARDS 2018

The Interior Design Excellence Awards (IDEA) is Australia’s largest and most successful independent design awards program. Launched by inside magazine in 2003, the program celebrates the best of Australian interior and product design across 14 Categories and five Special Awards. Here, we share more from the 2018 IDEA Gala and take a closer look at the winner of Designer of the Year, DesignOffice.

Since 2003, Cult has proudly supported the IDEA Awards, sponsoring the coveted ‘Designer of the Year’ category for the last 13 years. This year, we're pleased to award Design Office the 'Designer of the Year' title for 2018. As one of the most established design firms in Australia, DesignOffice are an award-winning practice with extensive and diverse professional experience spanning architecture and interiors for a wide portfolio of projects including retail, hospitality, residential, commercial, exhibition, cultural and institutional.

Shortlisted DesignOffice projects include Congress (hospitality), Cult Showroom and Nau Gallery (retail), Palace Central (hospitality), Peel by Millieu (Residential Multi) and Tait Melbourne Showroom (Retail).

A huge congratulations to DesignOffice, and all winners, highly commended and shortlisted practices.
