With the Ginger armchair Roberto Lazzeroni designs a seat of refined simplicity. A saddle-leather and leather shell with clean, simple and comfortable forms. Welcoming and protective, the Ginger armchair is enriched with elegant stitching that runs right along the external edge.
Designed as both the natural complement to the Fred desk and as a free-standing seat, the swivel version of Ginger is ideal for the study while the fixed version is perfect at the dining table. The shell of the Ginger armchair is made from moulded thermoplastic composite polymer. The shell is fixed to the base via a black painted steel support. The model with swivel mechanism enables the chair to rotate 360° and return to its starting position. Polyurethane foam padding. The exterior of Ginger is upholstered with a single layer of 4 mm-thick Cuoio Saddle or Saddle Extra leather. The upholstery on the inside is in Pelle Frau® leather, creating a pleasant tactile contrast. The 4-legged base is made from solid ash with a wenge or moka stain and triangular cross-section.
Roberto Lazzeroni lives and works in his home town of Pisa. After completing studies in art and architecture in Florence, he chose conceptual art as his focus began creating work that had a more radical approach to design. In the early 1980s he took commission in both industrial and interior design, a specialisation he defines as fundamental to his overall practice. Today Roberto works in the business of design, art directing and shaping corporate identity. His studio is directly responsible for every aspect linked to the birth and development of a firm. At the same time he is also developing new furniture designs for the leading manufacturers in Europe, including Poltrona Frau.
