Roberto Lazzeroni designs soft, feminine lines for a bed that combines the past and the present with natural elegance. The Bluemoon bed gives the bedroom a refined and evocative feel. The Pelle Frau® leather upholstery is embellished, on the headboard, by a modern capitonné created with delicate stitching that forms large diamond patterns.

The top part of the headboard finishes with a little spiral reminiscent of the classic Poltrona Frau armrest. The Bluemoon bed is also available in a version with a spacious storage unit. The structure of the Bluemoon’s headboard is in poplar and beech plywood with light padding in variable density CFC-free polyurethane foam and polyester wadding. The base is composed of spruce blockboard for the sides and poplar plywood for the footboard, with light padding in polyurethane foam and polyester wadding. The cylindrical feet are made of aluminium and painted black. The Bluemoon bed can also come equipped with a spacious storage unit which can be accessed from the front of the footboard thanks to a device with gas springs. In this version the front of the base has beechwood feet with a texturised black finish accompanied, on the headboard side, by 2 castors that make it easier to move.

Roberto Lazzeroni lives and works  in his home town of Pisa.  After completing studies in art and architecture in Florence, he chose conceptual art as his focus began creating work that had a more radical approach to design. In the early 1980s he took commission in both industrial and interior design, a specialisation he defines as fundamental to his overall practice. Today Roberto works in the business of design, art directing and shaping corporate identity. His studio is directly responsible for every aspect linked to the birth and development of a firm. At the same time he is also developing new furniture designs for the leading manufacturers in Europe, including Poltrona Frau.
