Cassiopea is one of the most distinctive and recognisable constellations in the northern sky. We could say the same about the sofa that takes its name, its incisive design, rich in personality, suggestive of a welcoming, versatile and multifunctional haven.
The Cassiopea sofa was designed by Lievore, Altherr and Molina as a space where it is easy to relax, work, read or socialise. It is a system of modular sofas that offers an infinite number of solutions, enabling it to meet any domestic requirement. In fact, the different modules can be arranged to create both linear or corner configurations for both smaller and large spaces. The shell is made from birch plywood with polyurethane foam padding while the seat is made from seasoned beechwood and birch plywood and padded with polyurethane foam and polyester wadding. The spring system consists of zigzag springs. The backrest and armrest cushions are in goose down with polyurethane foam stabilising insert. The sofa can be upholstered entirely in Pelle Frau® leather or in the options that combine multiple materials.
