Rhus Panca, a small bench designed by Kris Rhus, is a sophisticated surface on which to place objects.
The structure of the Rhus bench is made of metal with a satined nickel finish and the glossy lacquered wooden top is available in all the colours of the collection.
Born in New York, Kris Ruhs is an artist, sculptor and designer. Since 1980, he has exhibited his works in personal and collective shows in the most important galleries in the United States, giving him the opportunity to forge his own aesthetic style.
Since 1996, he has been living between Italy and France, choosing Paris as the base for his personal studio.
Dexterity, nature-inspired forms and colours, as well as his use of materials utilized primarily for sculptures have become his essential characteristics, all of which are highly evident in the Rhus Panca bench, in the Cappellini catalogue.
His installations are even more recognizable, thanks to his use of earth colours, ebony and natural pigments. Several books have been published about the artist’s works, most recently, “Works on Paper”, in 2006.
