CULT x David Jones - Fritz Hansen Pop-Up

Fritz Hansen is at David Jones Chatswood Chase
Fritz Hansen has arrived at the newly renovated David Jones Chatswood Chase, marking a new chapter for the Danish house in Australia. The presentation brings together a considered selection from Fritz Hansen's catalogue - seating, tables, storage, outdoor and accessories - within one of Sydney's most anticipated retail openings.
Founded in 1872, Fritz Hansen has spent more than 150 years working with the architects and designers who have shaped Scandinavian modernism. The result is a catalogue with rare depth: pieces conceived as one-offs that became archetypes, and contemporary additions that sit comfortably alongside them.
Seeing these pieces in person matters. Proportion, weight, the grain of an oak, the give of a leather upholstery - details that don't translate well to a screen. Our team is on the floor at Chatswood to talk through specifications, finishes and lead times, and to help you find the right piece for the right room.

On display are pieces that have shaped the language of modern design for more than half a century. Arne Jacobsen's Egg™ and Swan™, designed in 1958 for the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen, sit alongside the Series 7™ - the moulded plywood chair he introduced in 1955, and one of the most-produced chairs of the twentieth century.
The Super-Elliptical™ table, developed in 1968 by Piet Hein, Bruno Mathsson and Jacobsen, anchors the dining vignette with its mathematically resolved curve. Outdoors, Skagerak by Fritz Hansen brings a quieter, materially driven sensibility - teak and powder-coated steel, made for the long view.

Fritz Hansen is available to shop in store at David Jones Chatswood Chase, and online. Visit us in person, or browse the range from home.
