We’re thrilled to present nau 2022 – the newest collection from our Australian design brand, nau. This year, we have teamed up again with Sydney’s Adam Goodrum for three covetable pieces, including the new Lincoln sofa, Nest Monochrome side tables and Furl coat stand, which showcase Adam’s world-renowned innovation and distinctly Australian aesthetic. Offering versatility, functionality, comfort and quality, nau 2022 carves out a fresh perspective for authentic furniture for both the home and the workplace.
Here we take a closer look at nau new releases and unveil our latest lookbook, styled by Claire Delmar and photographed by Anson Smart at Queens Park House by Tribe Architects.
Lincoln is a new sofa collection that channels the practical prestige and luxurious functionality synonymous with the Lincoln Continental vehicle ranges of the 1970s. Inspired by the car’s generous long lines, proportions and low clearance chassis, the design of the Lincoln sofa collection is characterised by the same classic elegance and deep proportions. In a nod to the car’s bench seat and various seat arrangements, the Lincoln sofa features a signature wide inner armrest and extensive modularity.
Lincoln is available in set sofa widths, plus single seat and ottoman sizes that can stand alone or be configured to create large dynamic settings. Sofas can be customised to have arms, no arms or closed sides to create side by side settings as well L shaped configurations.
The upholstered seat, back and arms are all separate components fixed to a timber base sled, which offers even more customising with mixed upholstery options. This is also an advantage when it comes to installing large pieces on site and the future re-finishing or module customising after delivery.
The blade like legs are available in brushed stainless steel and powder coated mild steel. Small floating coffee tables can also be added to the ends of the Lincoln sofa in solid timber in Walnut, Natural Oak and Black-Stain Oak.
All fabric and leather upholstery on the Lincoln sofa has been generously provided by Kvadrat Maharam.
First released in 2016 in timber, Nest is a set of two tables that can function nested together or separated individually. Stacked, they create totemic shapes that add interest to any room. Deployed, they cantilever over sofas, beds and chairs, or simply float around a room; a space-saving and flexible alternative to a coffee table.
Now in 2022, the bestselling Nest tables are given a colourful makeover and are now available in powder coat metal in four vibrant colour options: Red, Green, Grey and Blue
With its gestural tree-like form, the Furl Coat Stand is a piece of functional sculpture. The design origi- nates from a circular solid timber length, or trunk, that is cut into quadrants. Each quadrant is steam bent, spreading at the base like roots, and unfurling at the top to form the boughs of the coat stand. These boughs provide space for coats and hats, while brass pegs accommodate bags.
The Furl coat stand is available in Walnut, Oak and Black-Stain Oak.
