Awards & Sponsorships
Since our inception over 25 years ago, Cult have proudly supported numerous industry awards programs which recognise emerging talent and celebrate the success and accomplishments of established designers in the Australian and Indo-Pacific design industry.
Our past sponsorships have included the INDE Awards, Mercedes-Benz Design Awards, The Design Files Design Awards, the NAWIC IWD Scholarship, Houses and IDEA awards.
We are proud to have also launched our own initiatives which foster and cultivate our local industry. Design Journey, which began in 2004, is a mentorship competition that offers a budding designer the opportunity to have their design manufactured and sold by Cult. A decade later, in 2013, we launched Chairity, an annual project which calls on a series of established designers to reimagine a design classic. The reimagined piece is then sold at auction, with all money raised donated to charity.
