A mix between contemporaneity and tradition for Cord Lamp by Werner Aisslinger.
The hanging design of Cord Lamp comes in two sizes, composed of a two-tone sphere made by pairing two shells of striped blown glass which are connected by a ring in embossed metal or finished with matte black varnish.
The bottom element is transparent and shiny, whereas the upper one – in colored paste glass, also shiny – is available in amethyst, green and air force blue. These alternating colours and transparencies give Cord Lamp the perfect balance between past and present.
The one-of-a-kind glass shells are the work of expert glassmakers, which allows them to provide warm, enveloping light. Any air bubbles or variation in colour are due to the artisanal workmanship of the glass and should be considered an added value in the design.
