A design project with an appearance that changes according to how they are used. Arya lamps, by Giulio Cappellini and Antonio Facco, look visibly different when they are turned on or off: the essential contours of the shapes are colourful when turned off, and emit soft, subtly coloured light when lit.
The Arya collection includes table lamps and hanging lamps: for both lines, the lamp shades are made of pasta-coloured glass that has been mouth-blown into a mould. The hues of the matte-finish glass include: white, smoke, air force blue, and chocolate. The metallic parts of the lamps are black, in all designs in the collection.
The fruit of the ancient art of master glassmakers, the lamp shades of the Arya lamps are one-of-a-kind. Any irregularities in the colour or thickness of the glass, or any tiny air bubbles, are due to the artisanal workmanship, and likewise should be considered a valuable addition.
The Arya Lighting and Vase Series is available in a range of variations. Explore the complete collection here.

Trained as an architect in Milan, Giulio Cappellini is an emblematic figure in the international design panorama.
Animated by an indomitable spirit and the curiosity of someone who wants to renew himself continuously, Cappellini dedicates himself to design by offering his personal revision of contemporary design, both for the brand that bears his name, and as art director for other important brands in the field.
Antonio Facco was born in Milan. His numerous collaborations with architects and designers, during his academic studies at the IED in Milan, led him to found Dedra, in 2011: a multi-disciplinary channel for design and visual arts that fosters the dialogue between young creatives with diverse skills and different geographic locations (Milan, Italy – Urbino, Italy – Brighton, UK).
