The Poh bench, designed by Raphael Navot, can also be used as a low table and consists of a patchwork of wooden pieces covered with solid natural American walnut.
Every Poh bench is a unique object, sold as a numbered edition: in fact, the blocks of wood are manually assembled in a casual manner and then cut by a machine numerically, according to a model that is generated digitally by a computer.
A table, a bench and a veritable sculpture: this piece has intentionally been left without a precise definition, in order to upend the premise, “form follows function” to “function follows form”.
Raphael Navot was born in Gerusalemme, in 1997. After having received his degree from the Design Academy of Eindhoven, in Holland, he decided to settle permanently in Paris.
He is dedicated to expressing his creativity on multiple fronts, and likes to describe himself as a versatile designer with a multidisciplinary approach to the field and to the design process.
Among his primary collaborations are important names in the business such as: Venini, David Lynch, Tollman’s - Alessi, Molteni/Dada, Renault, Design Museum Holon, Swarovski, Hearts on Fire, Arthus Bertrand and Mudum.
