The Three Sofa de Luxe defies the traditional function of a furnishing accent that is commonly perceived as merely a seat. For this collection, Jasper Morrison plays with this concept to give life to a design that is part sofa, part dormeuse, characterized by sculptural forms that project its strong identity.
Composed of sofas and a lounge chair, the Three Sofa de Luxe has a structure made of poplar plywood and solid fir wood, padded with multi-density polyurethane foam and equipped with die cast natural polish aluminium feet.
The fixed covers of the Three Sofa de Luxe sofas come in a variety of leathers and fabrics from the collection; additional removable covers can be chosen from amongst the fabrics in the Tele category.
Born in London in 1959, he graduated at the Royal College of Art and established his first design office in 1986. Immediately after this, he began his lasting and useful cooperation with Cappellini; nowadays, he works in London and in Paris for high level companies such as Alessi, Flos, Rowenta, Sony and Samsung. Each Morrison’s project has a minimal elegance which makes it strongly modern beeing a sort of archetype linked to past, favouring function on expression.
