With a background as a full time windsurfer and a decent boxer, Morten Voss has not followed the traditional road for a designer. Nevertheless, today he stands out as one of the finest exponents of the new generation of Danish design talents.
Already in 1994, at the age of 30, Voss made himself known with the introduction of the coffee table FlightDeck. Since then, his portfolio has been expanded via his company Voss Co Living.
It is Voss’ ambition to create design that both challenges and moves the traditional preconceptions and at the same time appeals to our sense of humour and imagination. This is clearly apparent in the new series Attitude, which consists of a sculptural lounge chair and table.
”I do everything I can to break the normal rules within design; as a designer you have to introduce something new - or else there’s no reason to be a designer” says Morten Voss.
