An iconic element of design, with a contemporary appeal and moderate dimensions, this armchair offers optimal comfort, with padding placed above a swivelling base (also available with a return mechanism).
This armchair is so versatile and richly significant that it can tastefully accent domestic settings and make a stylish statement in business environments alike. Marcel Wanders and Cappellini propose fixed upholstery, a fibreglass and resin shell, polyurethane foam padding on the seat and backrest, and a metal base finished with powder varnished with a natural aluminium hue. The upholstery is available in the fabrics and leathers of the collection.
The Dalia armchair by Marcel Wanders has obtained Greenguard Gold Certification, reserved exclusively for products that do not contain or emit harmful volatile substances.
Born in Boxtel, the Nederlands, in 1963, he developped his experience in design field first in the sphere of Droog Design, than with Wanders Wonders brand, nowadays with Moooi. He collaborates with Authentics, Flos, Magis, Mandarina Duck, Salviati. Impetuous and always enthusiastic, he creates delicate and light objects, quite as the used technology was a second nature for human race. Marcel Wanders believes it is important to learn about materials, to know what they can do, how they are produced and how they are processed: in this way he creates his project, a synthesis of handcraft and industrial technology.
