Inspired by the shape of glass lenses and the boxes they are stored in, Lens Box comprises a curved lid on a simple shallow round container, creating a desktop storage box in a range of marble, wood, cork and glass. The glass lens is made from optical glass to magnify the contents within.

Thomas Jenkins is a British industrial designer now living in Oslo, Norway. He is a graduate of the Engineering Product Design course at London South Bank University. After gaining experience in industry as a designer, he began his own studio in 2010. Jenkins has a particular interest in material usage, in craft skills and in industrial methods of production. He creates designs that are focused on interaction and daily use. For HAY, he has designed the Lens Box collection.
