Viola Heyn-Johnsen & Jonas Trampedach are a Danish husband and wife design team, with a shared passion for high quality craftmanship and minimalist design. They believe materials are the main selling point in product design and their experience in different fields compliment each others skill sets when collaborating. Viola Heyn holds a Masters Degree in Visual Communication and over 15 years experience in graphic design, styling, art direction and product development. Jonas Trampedach graduated from the Royal College of Art in 2009, before opening his own Copenhagen based design studio.
Trampedach's studio focuses on furniture and lighting, implementing diverse approaches to design and an experimentation of materials and techniques. He creates work from larger industrially produced pieces, to limited edition bespoke creations.
The HAY Parade Lamp is the duo's first shared design project, and harnesses a combination of both of their design skills.
