Power to ideas! With the Peacock armchair, Dror Studio in New York makes a strong statement: this exuberant armchair made of rippled folds of felt fabric is eye-catching; with sinuous curves that challenge the laws of physics and a spontaneous, irreverent attitude.
The base is made of powder-varnished metal, anthracite in colour. The Peacock armchair is available in monocolour versions (in blue or green).
In equilibrium between art and design, aesthetics and functionality, Dror Bershetrit dedicates himself to product design, architecture and art direction.
In his works, one can trace the roots of his style, which emerged from the fusion of the technical knowledge he learned at the Design Academy of Eindhoven and his love of art, which derives from his studies at the Center for Art Education in Tel Aviv.
Upon moving to New York, he founded the Dror studio, in 2001. His work is based upon the design of objects that seek the origins of form and movement through the use of materials and the strategic employment of technology.
Given his dialogue with form, Dror has interpreted, in the Peacock armchair for Cappellini, the concept of geometry in a soft, organic manner.
Today, Dror Studio collaborates with important companies such as Boffi, Levi’s, Surface Magazine, Swarovski and Rosenthal, the brand with which he won the iF Product Design Award in 2006.
