Wabisabi Navy 300X400 cm

$13,200

Description

The Wabisabi philosophy embodies the belief that true beauty is not found in perfection, but in the acceptance of imperfection.

Each Wabisabi rug is the result of weaving, experimenting, making mistakes, and finding joy in the process. By skilfully adjusting the warp and weft, we create visual textures and rhythms that intertwine to form an imperfect yet exquisite wavy pattern. These subtle irregularities add character and depth to each rug, inviting the viewer to appreciate the beauty in imperfection. We further emphasize this concept by consistently utilizing two contrasting colors, enhancing the visibility of these changes.

Available in 4 color combinations: navy blue–orange, mustard–grey, anthracite and bone and its inverted version.

In 1988, some of her creations were already being exported to Germany and Japan. A year later, one of her collections was selected for the shop at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York.
