EVENT GALLERY. Highlights from Design Show 2022
It was fantastic to connect with so many industry friends, old and new, at the first edition of Design Show from 20-22 October 2022 at the ICC Sydney. Thanks to everyone who visited our Lincoln Gin Lounge and nau stand and shared such positive feedback about our new nau Lincoln sofa and other novelties by Adam Goodrum. We were also delighted to win 'Best Furniture' at the Editor's Choice Awards.

LINCOLN GIN LOUNGE. Presented by Cult x Four Pillars
Presented by Cult in partnership with Four Pillars Gin and Kvadrat Maharam, the Lincoln Gin Lounge was a place for meeting, socialising and conversation during Design Show 2022. Envisioned as an ‘anti-VIP’ space to bring the industry together, Design Show attendees were welcomed to visit the lounge and discuss Australia’s creative future over a complimentary selection of Four Pillars’ latest gin drinks.
All fabric upholstery was generously provided by Kvadrat Maharam.
Pairing considered Australian design with quality Australian gin, the lounge was the launch pad for Lincoln - a new modular sofa system designed by Adam Goodrum for nau inspired by the Lincoln Continental car from the 1970s. A large s-shaped Lincoln sofa took centre stage, inviting visitors to sit back and engage with the product in a meaningful way. Other nau novelties on show included the Furl coat stand and Nest Monochrome table by Adam Goodrum, alongside collection bestsellers.
Spanning 150sqm, the Lincoln Gin Lounge was inspired by the understated sophistication of hotel lobbies in the 1970s, with a palette of textured neutrals, rich burgundy and forest green complimented by accents of brushed stainless steel and walnut. Additional styling elements to set the scene included the &Tradition Flowerpot portable lamp by Vernon Panton and Gubi Obello portable lamp by Bill Curry.
This public lounge showcased the flexibility of Lincoln’s linear design and its possibility for large-format commercial applications, from hotel lobbies to airport lounges, hospitality venues, workplace and more.
“The Lincoln Gin Lounge was a continuation of Cult’s ongoing relationship with Four Pillars. We worked together in 2019 on custom nau furniture for the award-winning Four Pillars Gin Lab in Sydney designed by YSG. At Design Show 2022, we wanted to host the whole of the industry in a central space, to bring the community together.” — Richard Munao, Cult Founder and Director.

The Lincoln Gin Lounge showcased an expansive display of products from nau, headlined by the new modular lounge system Lincoln by Adam Goodrum and adorned by a canopy of Broad pendants by Kate Stokes. Sia chairs and Nami tables by Tom Fereday were showcased in new finishes and sizes. The Nami Bar tables were a stand-out, plus Adam Cornish's Rev stools handsomely presented in a deep burgundy gloss.
NAU 2022. Residential Showcase
nau is a contemporary design brand celebrated for championing a uniquely Australian creative vision, with a versatile collection that spans both residential and commercial applications. Styled amongst an understated backdrop of layered sheer curtains from Kvadrat Maharam in yellow, beige and pink tones, the nau 2022 collection was presented in a series of soft residential settings to highlight its sophisticated design and versatility.
Here we unveiled Lincoln, a new modular sofa system designed by Adam Goodrum inspired by the Lincoln Continental vehicles of the 1970’s. Other nau novelties on show included the Furl coat stand and Nest Monochrome tables by Adam Goodrum, alongside collection bestsellers.
