The Decus x Cult Mezzanine at Sydney Contemporary

Last month, we had the pleasure of hosting an exclusive event at The Decus x Cult Mezzanine during the Sydney Contemporary Art Fair, where the highlight of the evening was the launch of the Billo Collection by Adam Goodrum. Guests from across the creative community gathered to explore this vibrant space, enjoy drinks, and celebrate the creativity that defines both the art world and the design industry.

Designed by Decus in collaboration with Cult Design, the mezzanine was crafted as a calming retreat amidst the excitement of the fair. Sumptuous, colour-drenched interiors offered guests a serene environment to take a breath, socialise, and admire the designs on display.

Special thanks to our friends and collaborators at Decus, NHO and Kvadrat Maharam – your support helped make this space and event a reality, and we look forward to many more creative partnerships.

Product Highlights: Design Meets Functionality

At the heart of the Decus x Cult Mezzanine was Billo, the new modular sofa system designed by Adam Goodrum for nau. With its sleek, modern form and versatility, Billo was a natural fit for a space that balanced sophistication with comfort. Upholstered in luxurious Kvadrat textiles, Billo’s modularity allowed it to adapt perfectly to the immersive, cocoon-like design of the mezzanine.

Beyond Billo, several other pieces contributed to the elegance and functionality of the space. Each of these pieces was chosen not just for its design pedigree but also for its ability to contribute to the atmosphere of relaxation and creativity that defined the Decus x Cult Mezzanine.
