The archetype of a modern armchair.

Ninety years and still going strong. ‘Modello 904’ went into production in 1930 and by 1984, it was known by the name Vanity Fair. The original design has been sophisticatedly re-worked by Poltrona Frau, based on original drawings that Renzo Frau left to his wife Savina. Over the years, Vanity Fair has become one of the universally recognised icons of Italian design, and as an archetype of the armchair itself. Designed in collaboration with Roberto Lazzeroni for the 2020 collection, Vanity Fair XC has been adapted to meet the proportions of today.

A Poltrona Frau classic since Renzo Frau presented it in 1912, the Chester Sofa has graced the decades and generations with its timeless elegance, becoming a true icon in the history of interior design. Now, the Chester Line Sofa family expands with two new curved modules which, greatly increasing the number of possible configurations.

Times Lounge

An understated aesthetic.

The design features that made the Times bed so unique are reinterpreted in the Times Lounge armchair. A timeless seat which combines an advanced construction technique with a sophisticated, elegant aesthetic. The cover of the Times Lounge naturally assumes its form, like a tailored suit for a comfortable, light and functional chair.

Viola

Formal lightness, harmonious proportions and extreme comfort.

Renowned for creating innovative and popular solutions for leading restaurants, bistros and lounge bars all over the world, AB Concept have imbued their knowledge in the Viola chair, which features harmonious and ergonomic proportions. The back of the chair is embellished with a weave made from sixty saddle-leather laces that connect to its frame, and the seat is generous and welcoming, guaranteeing the utmost comfort when sitting for long periods. The Viola chair is recognised for its sophisticated and modern reinterpretation of classic design motifs, carefully balancing Scandinavian inspirations with contemporary luxury.

Kyoto

The Kyoto table was designed by Gianfranco Frattini in 1974 and is now faithfully re-issued by Poltrona Frau. Simple Japanese elegance and the tactile richness of solid wood are underlined by expert dovetail joints to create a table where the construction concept becomes the object itself. The absence of decorative elements enhances the beauty of the raw material in this simle yet intricate design.

Martha Rocking Chair

A successful combination of comfort and lightness.

Noted for its rounded forms and saddle-leather shell, the Martha armchair series now includes a Rocking Chair variation, embodying the luxurious comfort of the collection with an added lightness. This informal and easy-going design is a masterpiece of wood craftsmanship and features a rocking base in curved solid ash, with a padded backrest that appears to float in the air.

The Grant collection is inspired by a golden age nostalgia with a nod to equestrianism and pre-war period luxury. Tristan Auer extends the collection with three new Poufs; Grant De Luxe, each detailing an elegant fine lattice-work that decorates the external edges.
