Held annually in February, Stockholm Furniture and Light Fair is the world's leading event for the best and brightest Scandinavian Design.
Danish design favourites &Tradition and masters of craftsmanship Carl Hansen and Son both presented an array of new releases at the fair this year, from re-issued mid century icons and outdoor furniture, to an entire accessories range. Here is the latest news seen from our brands at the 2020 edition of SFF.

For the past 10 years, &Tradition has reissued the works of highly influential designers - including Verner Panton's Flowerpot lamp and Arne Jacobsen and Flemming Larsen's Mayor sofa.
This year, the brand introduced a collection of furniture originally designed by 1950s Danish designer duo Hvidt & Mølgaard. Retrieved from hand-drawn sketches with the help of the designers' families, the pieces include meticulously designed tables, chairs and lamps - some of which are entering production for the first time.

Alongside reissuing past designs, &Tradition collaborated with acclaimed international designers to create future classics. Danish studio Space Copenhagen was involved in several designs showcased for the first time in Stockholm this year - a newly crafted line of home objects named &Tradition Collect. Comprising a selection of cushions, throws and planters, the designers favoured the use of high-quality natural textiles and subdued, earthy tones, and designed each piece to be mixed and matched with others.

If a series of re-issued classics and a whole new accessories range wasn't enough, &Tradition rounded up their new releases with three final designs - a two-seat extension of their iconic Little Petra Chair, a new table by renowned Danish designer Hee Welling and a portable lamp by Space Copenhagen.

MO Series
Mads Odgård
MO Series by Mads Odgård.
In an exciting new collaboration with Danish designer Mads Odgård, Carl Hansen and Son also introduced the MO Lighting Series. The series is based on simple shapes that symbolise the comforting effect that light has on people. In their own discreet way, the lamps complement Carl Hansen & Son’s furniture collection and retell the story of Danish design.
Shown for the first time at the 1958 Carpenter’s Exhibition on a stand called ‘Landhuset’ (Country House), Børge Mogensen’s BM0865 Daybed and BM0488 Table Bench were the final novelties relaunched by Carl Hansen & Son as part of a growing collection of the renowned Danish architect and designer’s work. The daybed’s comfortable and tranquil form is optimized for wellbeing in any space and the functional Bench acts as both a table and a seating area.
