The Vico Duo is a stylish veneer stacking chair by Vico Magistretti that is versatile and perfectly suited for agile workspace and hospitality design. The chair is simple with tight lines. A loose ‘z’ line drawn across paper inspired the chair’s backward armrests – an unusual element that intentionally balances the design. The armrests and back legs are one piece of steel – another unique aspect of the design. New arm pads add comfort and black powder coated bases add to the contemporary look. Fritz Hansen reissues the Vico Duo chair in celebration of the 100th anniversary of Vico Magistretti’s birth. Magistretti designed the chair in 1997, sitting among his sketches in Fritz Hansen’s design department.

ABOUT THE DESIGNER
Vico Magistretti
Vico Magistretti was born and educated in Milan. His award-winning designs are exhibited at design museums worldwide; he has worked together with many prestiguous companies throughout the world. Magistretti is an honorary visiting professor at the Royal College of Art in London.
Approx. 80% of Magistretti's products designed since the early sixties are still in production. His immense success is attributable to the simplicity and modesty in his easy, elegant form idiom based on established and natural shapes - yet with the respect for cultural and historic values and traditions.
This is obvious in his designs for Fritz Hansen, Vico and VicoDuo.rking for Zanotta, Porro, Magis he uses fibreglass, gels, aluminium foam, neoprene and three-dimensional textiles.
