EVENT GALLERY. GUBI x Saturday Indesign

On Saturday, 6 September, as part of Saturday Indesign, our Cult Melbourne showroom was transformed into a vibrant exhibition space for the official launch of GUBI’s sculptural new F300 Lounge Chair. Guests were among the very first to experience this striking design, alongside fresh releases from GUBI, including the T877 Side Table.
The day unfolded with guided tours led by Cindy Shen, GUBI’s Head of Asia & Australia, and lively conversations shared among friends, industry peers and design enthusiasts.
To mark the occasion, guests were invited to ‘Take A Seat’ at an interactive Polaroid wall, with Marie’s favourite pose taking out the prize, a GUBI Portable Light.

First unveiled in the late 1960s by French designer Pierre Paulin, the F300 Lounge Chair broke new ground with its sculptural silhouette and futuristic spirit. More than just a chair, it introduced a new typology, one that challenged convention and quickly earned its place as an icon of modern design.
Complementing the organic curves of the F300 is the T877 Side Table. Lightweight, versatile and fluid in form, the T877 is as practical as it is sculptural, equally striking on its own, or clustered alongside the lounge chair it was designed to accompany.

Take A Seat, Strike A Pose.
With its bold curves and unmistakable character, the F300 Lounge Chair invites you to sit your way - whether reclined, perched, sideways or upright. To celebrate this freedom, guests were encouraged to ‘Take a Seat, Strike a Pose’ at our interactive Polaroid wall.
The results were as creative as they were playful, showcasing the many ways the F300 can be experienced. From elegant lounging to unexpected angles, it was a joy to see guests making the design their own.

Beyond the F300 and T877, our Melbourne showroom now showcases a host of new arrivals from GUBI, including the sculptural Epic Outdoor Table, the Bagdad Portable Lamp, and more.
Our in-house visual merchandising team has reimagined the space to perfectly capture the essence of the GUBI universe. Creating an immersive setting where each piece can be experienced as it was intended: bold, refined and enduring.
