We wanted to take a moment to reflect on some of the best moments of the year and send a big thank you to everyone who has been part of it. SALONE DEL MOBILE - MILAN
Italy’s annual design event brings together the world’s best international brands for a preview of the latest launches in furniture, lighting and lifestyle.
Five members from the Cult team attended the 2023 edition. From Gubi's epic takeover of Bagni Misteriosi to the opening of Cappellini's new showroom in the heart of Milan, it was a super inspiring week.

3 DAYS OF DESIGN - COPENHAGEN
Copenhagen’s annual design festival, 3 Days of Design, celebrated its landmark 10th edition this year. Over 300 exhibitors, including 15 esteemed Cult brand partners, welcomed guests into their spaces for product launches, events, design talks, exhibitions and workshops.

HOUSES AWARDS
Presented by Houses Magazine, this annual awards program celebrates Australia’s best residential projects. Excellence is rewarded in nine categories, with the best house receiving the premier award of Australian House of the Year, which Cult has proudly supported since 2010. At the 2023 gala, this premier award of Australian House of the Year went to Merricks Farmhouse by Michael Lumby with Nielsen Jenkins.
INTERIOR DESIGN EXCELLENCE AWARDS (IDEA)
Presented by Inside magazine, this awards program celebrates the best of Australian interior and product design across 14 categories and six Special Awards. Congratulations Arent & Pyke on winning the highly regarded ‘Designer of the Year’ award at the 21st edition of this awards program. Cult has proudly sponsored this award for over a decade - pictured below right is our General Manager, Jeff Tsang, presenting the accolade to Arent&Pyke founders, Sarah-Jane Pyke and Juliette Arent.
Jury comments: “Possessing a name synonymous with emotional interiors excellency, Arent & Pyke are titans in Australian interior design, delivering an aesthetic that bleeds an undeniably joyful feeling and demonstrates a tight grasp on how psychology influences design.”
NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF WOMEN IN CONSTRUCTION (NAWIC)
The NAWIC NSW Awards for Excellence is an annual celebration of innovation, talent, and dedication of women in the construction industry. CULT has proudly sponsored the event’s live auction for over a decade, which raises funds to support NAWIC’s Executive Women’s Leadership Scholarship.
This year we donated two FRITZ HANSEN Fred Chairs and raised over $20,000 to support this scholarship. The winner is announced each year during a breakfast event at Cult in conjunction with International Women's Day.

Sustainability.
Our in-house sustainability program, Cultivated, won the 2023 award for 'Best Stewardship Outcomes - SME Business' at the Product Stewardship Centre of Excellence Awards.
Judges comments: “Cultivated advocates for longevity and repairability in the furniture circular economy. Their commitment to quality materials and thoughtful design ensures products endure, contributing to a more sustainable and circular approach in the industry.”
This is a major milestone in our effort to bring furniture circularity mainstream - thank you to the judges and to the centre for this honour.

2023 was a big year of award wins for our in-house Australian design brand, nau. A wide range of products were shortlisted and awarded in both local and international programs, and designer Adam Goodrum also won some significant accolades for his overall contribution to Australian design.

10 YEARS OF CULTIVATED
This year, Cult's in-house sustainability program, Cultivated, celebrated a milestone 10-year anniversary.

MARK TUCKEY ACQUISITION
Cult gained a new sister business in 2023, when its parent company, Corporate Culture, acquired Mark Tuckey; a revered brand known for its timeless and beautifully crafted solid timber furniture. This strategic move reflects the group's commitment to preserving and promoting Australian manufacturing, design, and craftsmanship.
NAU CONTRACT LOOK BOOK 2023
In 2023 we produced our very first nau contract look book, showcasing the wide range of flexible contract furniture options from our in-house design brand, designed and made in Australia for hospitality, workplace and public environments.
New contract releases highlighted in the look book include the Lincoln Sofa System, Nest Monochrome Tables and Mega Tulip Workpod by Adam Goodrum, plus Nami Bistro Table by Tom Fereday.
